Robots and garages
That's a project made at the 3D DMP Course by Technicolor Creative Academy.
I worked on the baseplate, removing overlapping poles, tracker, garbage, and extra unaesthetic objects.
In the second step, I imported the existing assets and did a layout to achieve a readable composition.
The third step has me create an asset, in particular a mechanic hoist, create its textures and material and import it into the environment.
In the last steps, I added a little animation to the characters, render the entire sequence, and compose it in Nuke.

Softwares utilized:
Maya, Renderman Engine, Substance Painter, Nuke.
Tasks: matte painting, layout, hoist modeling and texturing, compositing.
The base plate
The original footage holds many unwanted objects. In the foreground, the trash hides the floor, on the walls the trackers have to be deleted, and the outdoor environment is burned out (too much exposure) and we aren't able to see the details.

Hoist
The mechanic hoist belongs to the "hard surface" modeling technique. Every part has its utility, the aesthetic comes in a second moment.
