Schoolbus

Dead-end roads? Nothing but a waste of time, or maybe an excuse to explore new places…?

The final result of this project has me thinking about the feeling of solitude, and wandering around, sometimes it could become a sense of amazement. You lost the high road, and you just keep going until you come across a dead-ending road.

2019

Modeling - Rigging - Texturing - Lighting - Compositing.

Maya, Z-Brush, Substance Painter, Arnold Renderer, After Effects.

Overview

I used different tools in Maya such as Mash for the grass, falloff objects, and volumetrics.

I developed my organization skills and learned the PBR method to create great textures in Substance Painter.

Udims and Rig

To get the best result I divided the school bus UVs into multiple UDIMS achieving a higher resolution and keeping a consistent texel density for all the UVs, assets, and environment.

I added a simple rig to the School bus so that its wheels could move following the body.
